The part where Jared told Jensen what had happened with his last foster family, made me cry, and most for the fact that when Jared went to tell Jensen what David had done to him, was when Jensen had gone mad with him.
I loved how Donna was with the kids, when in the story said that when she offered Jeff to adopt him Jeff had destroyed his room and that Donna had just stood and watched him doing it, until he calmed down,, I'd love that most parents were like that, being patience and love their sons and daughters,, yesterday I read in the news about a 2 year old kid that died cause her "foster mother" shook her very hard cause the kid was... you know what all 2 year old kids do, crying and doing tantrums :( poor kid. Hope most of the foster parents really loved kids and not just agree to take care of them for the money.

I love this story! It was so heartbreaking learning what happened to their friendship and what happened to Jared :-( but the ending was great and I'm sure with time and Jensens love he will heal (with some bumps cause hurt jared is my guilty pleasure ;-) ) and from previous comments it seems like we can look forward to timestamps and possibly a sequel woohoo! I look forward to reading any future installments I can't wait to see how their relationship develops :-D

Nicely done--it was a very moving story without being unrelentingly angsty. The Ackles family were great people and I would *love* to read more about them--not only Jared and Jensen but also about the other kids they adopted, and maybe more backstory on what made them do what they do...all in all, a very good read! Thanks so much for sharing this and I look forward to timestamps. :)
Thank you so much! I really didn't want the fic to be "too" angsty, as I sometimes feel that puts people off a little bit. There will definitely be more, and I do have a few ideas in mind about adding in more about the other characters, too! This one felt very Jensen and Jared centric, and whilst that was a huge part of the fic, I was a little dissapointed that there never seemed to be a good chance to add more about the others.
