I was just looking at that pic of Leland Orser and thinking that Revolution was coming down with love interests this year. It seemed a ridiculous amount, so I decided to make a list… I have issues

Well, that last pic depresses me, everyone's standing in the wrong spot...
Miles and Charlie should be standing together and Danny should be on Charlie's other side (her left, come on symbolism)...and maybe a step back with Rachel on his other side looking at something that the other's aren't/studying something in her hands/pack. Aaron should be next to Nora - they're a likable pair, coz no one thinks anything's going to happen which makes them ship!neutral...with her slightly in front, maybe, sort of protectively, and then if this was like a fantasy promo pic from my head - Jeremy would be up a tree and Monroe would be just emerging (or lurking in) from the bushes.
Really don't like Rachel clumped in with Miles and Nora. And why is she at the back, she's Rachel effing Matheson. Do like that she and Miles are wearing the same blue - but I would like it more if Charlie had some blue going on too. Like it's the Matheson colour and the milita stole it.
This is better - altho the floating heads reminds me of the wizard of OZ...
I wasn't sure if random blonde dude had been mentioned in the press releases or if that was fanon :)
And yeah, I don't like the placement either. I didn't like Charlie much in the first few episodes, but I love the bones of her now. I don't want to see her relegated to hanging out in the back with Jason. I want her to be badass and Miles' right hand in whatever he decides to do.
I mean, this whole show is dark dream come true for Charlie. This is what she wanted - even if she wouldn't have chosen the precise details. She's got adventure, she's travelled, her mom is back and her Dad can't keep her home safe anymore...
Are we counting living ships? Cause both Ben/Rachel and Ben/Maggie were canon.
I refuse to accept Miles/Rachel as anything other than in-laws who may or may not despise each other, but have to work together.
I kinda LOL at everyone's look in the group picture- it's like they're sighing and saying "oh come on!"
I will say this- while there's a lot of ship potential on the show, in the first half there was very little actual romance on the show, for which I'm grateful. Jason/Charlie? One sided on his part, he kept saving her life and she was gonna let Miles kill him in 1X5. Miles/Nora? We knew they had a thing (1X3) and they shared a goodbye kiss in 1X8, nothing beyond that. Ben/Rachel has been more about the blackout and the family than them as a couple. Ben/Maggie weren't very romantic in the little screentime they had. And while Miles/Monroe had a presence all season, they've actually interacted only in 4 episodes (1X1, 1X3, 1X9, 1X10) and one of those was a hallucination. I'd say Tom/Julia were the most couple-y couple we've had
( ... )
Ah no, I was just counting how many ongoing ships that they are juggling going forwards. I thought about Ben and Rachel, since they'll be in flashbacks, but stuck with the ongoing ones.
I think it's a mistake to make the romance-elements too much the focus of the show. I love the various odds and sods of potential in there, but fandom can make the most of that without the show getting slogged down in soap opera romantic love-triangles and surprise babies. They have a lot to do, there's not much time for romance!
Or shouldn't be, if they're doing it right.
(I've hung my hat firmly on Aaron being the big character that gets offed - although I will give Kripke a bag of jelly beans if he dies of a bee sting instead of basscopter)
