I wish I remembered how I felt - but I do know it re-energized my love of fanfic and of OTP's in general and I still adore Miloe so much. Even though the second season was not really what I wanted - I still loved it.

Sigh. I love you guys and I love this comm and it's camaraderie a lot.

I felt...pessimistic.

Oh yeah, an adventure-mystery-sci-fi show...starring a girl. This'll be great....*grumbles* until it's cancelled.

TBH I was so bored I probably would have watched almost anything. Although I do remember being particularly struck by the trailer. Loved the trailer. I saved it away for later, even. *goes to look for it, blows off dust* May 12th 2012...I had no idea what I was getting myself into...

We love you too, S. And you'd better be at the S1 Rewatch when it kicks off next week (Mercy and I need a week to get ourselves together).

Yep, like Thursday, I was bored enough to watch anything. I remember not liking Charlie too much - she seemed so naive, and I also didn't like Ben and his 'the kids better be hunting'. I liked Danny, Tom, Maggie and, obviously, Miles. And I didn't put it together that Miles' pre-blackout BFF and the 'evil' general Monroe are one and the same person till episode three, because that's how slow my brains work sometimes. But obviously I liked it enough to keep watching and then episode 3 did it for me and I was hooked.

I'd always had a real thing about dystopias and apocalyptic scenarios - the first big thing I ever wrote was an end of the world story back when I had to do it in one of my (primary school!) notebooks. So I was excited, but I must admit being a little annoyed by the execution. It was very beautiful, but it seemed they had sacrificed the meat (SCIENCE PLEASE MUST HAVE SCIENCE) for the pretty. And Charlie's naivete and obvious plot-deviceishness at that point made my teeth hurt. I liked the start and the moments that brought me back was everything in the bar (ie Miles) and the realisation that the bad guy was the cute friend from the beginning. That was when my 'wait, WHAT?' radar began jangling.

I was definitely drawn in by the promos but was totally pessimistic about it too. *nods* I'm just glad we got two full seasons and that my pessimism got squashed at least temporarily. :P I too wasn't a huge fan of Charlie but as soon as they introduced Rach, and Philly, I was far more hooked than I thought I was going to be. And then they started to knit together all the relationships and etc etc... and we all know how hard I fell.

*hugs* Love you guys (and Revo!)
