Personally, I feel like they're more of a romantic pairing...or could be (I HOPE, I HOPE!). I have had this theory for AGES that Miles is actually Charlie's father, which could really be accurate, given the history between Miles and Rachel. But I guess we'll just have to watch and find out.
What a crazy episode THAT would be to find out that she is Miles' kid. And could you IMAGINE how the tides would turn between Miles & Bass if Charlie IS Miles' daughter? OH MAN. LOL. *EVIL SMIRK*
I don't think he's her father, it certainly looked that way in S1 when Danny was still around...BUT as much as I love the idea of Charlie and Bass romantically involved - I still see the potential there if he was her father. Her mother hates him. Both Charlie and Rachel (and Miles) have attempted to kill him. Yet he has a weird fondness for all of them, and he couldn't seem to get out of Rachel's personal space in S1, like he was addicted to the toxicity of their relationship. The memory of who they both used to be. And I think it'd make sense if not only is Rachel after revenge for being kept in the attic for four years - occasionally tortured - but because he has the power to ruin the relationship she wants with her daughter, coz he's a threat on more that one level.
Still...I think her father's Miles. Maybe it's too obvious, but it would make sense, they always fall together, and it'd just draw Charlie and Miles closer together (after a short burst of friction, because BEN(And I would be happily surprised if Ben turned

I don't know about a romantic relationship, but I'm still waiting for the great reveal that Miles is Charlie's father. Somehow, that would make more sense.
I don't think the writers will actually go into the romantic relationship with them, although I really wouldn't mind :D, they'll just tease us to death with it. :) Bass being Charlie's father would be a great twist, though I'd prefer with her being Ben's daughter. But I'm afraid the most real option is they'll go with Miles as her father.
(Although I also like the theory where Miles is Charlie's father, but Rachel is not her mother. Or even better, where Ben - the goodly Ben (I mean it in the most affectionate way) is her father but Rachel is not her mother. It would explain a lot.)

I haven't read it recently, but I still think the show is headed that way. It won't affect who I ship though.
