I didn't know you were a Mac girl! *highfive* I am too!! I hope you can like...find a way to get it up and running again. I used to Mac support for about a decade. My hard drive crashed last year and I had to get a new one but they were able to salvage most of my data, thank goodness. What kind of Mac is it?

It's the MacBook... white... medium one? Was looking at Disk Utility. Looks as though it's the hard drive alright... I'm online to look at costs of replacing the hard drive. I doubt they'll salvage anything on ours... we tried everything to get it to reinstall.. I'm quite sure there is nothing on the computer at ALL

Arrrgghh... you poor thing! *hugs*

I too had a Mac die a month after its warrenty expired (*sobs*)--so forked out the bucks for the 3-yr extended warranty for its replacement, on which I now type.) Have you tried taking it to an Apple Store for repair? I've had some luck with that, though I don't know what they'd do that the Support folks wouldn't've told you... but maybe?

Please say you're not going over to the dark side, i.e. getting a PC? *kidding* *sorta*
