As "Eclipse" is on the horizon and I keep seeing a combination of feminist postings while being slammed with Twilight everywhere I look, I can foresee a rant post in the near future. But that is not today. No, today is fandom amuses me day

They were showing the Last Airbender Trailer at some theater when a friend asked what it was about. I explained briefly about the white-washed casting and she was so indignant, she announced she wasn't going to see it (even though she's never heard of the series before).

Then the people sitting behind us yelled at me for trashing the movie :(

I had an...aquaintance email me about going as a group to see the TLA. I've been toying with the idea of emailing him back to tell him "thanks for the invits, but NO WAY IN HELL!"...I don't really want to be THAT person...though it could get him to stop contacting me. haha!

...oddly enough, I haven't seem much Twilight anywhere myself. The burger King thing was pretty much the only place I came across it. Jess pulled Edward off her cup and left it on the floor. Later we found her cat chewing on it. It was kind of awesome.
