I cannot believe I konked out again before midnight. I'm drinking caffeine all day today, I swear.
So I was watching GG's translation of Geass. I don't know how accurate GG is since I've heard numerous complaints so the thing I'm going to point out is probably meaningless. But it fits into my usual thought pattern so I'll go with it. I noticed when Suzaku and Yuffie are hanging out in the city, Suzaku is pouting because the stray cat they found does not like him. Suzaku jokes his love is one-sided, and Yuffie replies that kind people offer suffer from one-sided loves. Normally, I would just pass this off, but it does seem to be a trend among Geass. Shirley's love for Lelouch does not hold much possibility, nor does Millay's apparent love for Shirley. BTW, the only other possibility for Millay's crush would be Suzaku, and Millay spends more time staring at Shirley's chest. Just for the sake of argument and slashy fun, I pondered over which of the Geass boys Yuffie's comment may refer to: Suzaku or Lelouch.
The usual anime/manga pattern would indicate Lelouch being the one for the one-sided love since the hero-type, Suzaku, most often lands himself a girl. I'm going for Yuffie. While I'm not implying that Lelouch loves Suzaku in this type of way yet, as their relationship hasn't been portrayed as anything beyond old friendship, it is still fun to explore. The conversation Zero has with Suzaku after saving him from his trial stands out the most, with Lelouch screaming at Suzaku for wanting to return to Britannia and place himself in further danger. Then there's Lelouch's constant Internet-search for Suzaku the episode following and how happy Lelouch is to have Suzaku at his school. I also sense a possible conflict since C.C. is less pleased with Lelouch's relationship with Suzaku, but Lelouch assures her that Suzaku is a good friend. Also, Lelouch's adorable defending of Suzaku's right as an honored Britannia at the end of the school episode. I wonder what would Suzaku do if he knew that Lelouch was the one who killed Clovis and started all this chaos amongst the Elevens and Britannia. Where do his true loyalties lie? I only hope Sunrise does not disappoint me in answering that question.
And just for those people who insist that I can't see beyond slash, I would like to point out that I love Jeremiah/Villete (one will probably die; i hope it's not villete) and Yuffie/Suzaku doesn't make me wish to gargle acid. ^^b
ETA: Someone on one of the anime blogs made a comment about LuLu being a real drag to love. So true.
