I believe that bloggers who live with pets and/or small children are required to blog about said creatures, with occasional photos. It's the LAW.

Also, naps are wonderful things. Sure, you could spend them doing housework that's tougher to do when the toddler is conscious. Reading is something that you CANNOT do when the toddler is awake; thus it gets priorities. Also, when outdoors, you know about asking the kid how fast he can run? And exhorting him to run faster? Oh, good.
