2007 Books #32: Lost Boy Lost Girl, by Peter Straub

This is the kind of horror novel I was looking for. I like an increasing sense of tension, with hints of creepiness and small but really effective doses of grim description instead of buckets of gore all over the place

Straub writes excellent novels. I can't remember how the hell the book ends, though I know I started it. I may not have finished it, though -- it's not the book's fault.

Have you read any of earlier Straub? (Ghost Story, Shadowland, etc?)

No, this was my first Straub novel, but I have Shadowland waiting on my shelf.
