2007 Books #32: Lost Boy Lost Girl, by Peter Straub

This is the kind of horror novel I was looking for. I like an increasing sense of tension, with hints of creepiness and small but really effective doses of grim description instead of buckets of gore all over the place ( Read more... )

Straub writes excellent novels. I can't remember how the hell the book ends, though I know I started it. I may not have finished it, though -- it's not the book's fault.

Have you read any of earlier Straub? (Ghost Story, Shadowland, etc?)
