Olivia’s POV:
I could hear Elliot yelling as Munch and I rounded the corner and then THAT voice, tinged with anger and frustration. I sped up with Munch and his curiosity following close behind. Elliot had obviously mentioned something when testifying which had pissed Alex off. Her back was to me so I took time to appreciate the snug suit and some fine legs protruding from the skirt. Elliot looked at me, frustrated, and my cover was blown; however no way was I getting into this shit. Alex spun around a second later and cast her eyes over me. Her eyes told me she was pissed, but there was something else. Relief? More anger? Crap, stop staring fool.
Elliot said a list of expletives and stormed back to the court house with Munch right behind him. I walked up to her, immediately consumed by her scent while she stood silently in the middle of the room pinching the bridge of her nose. I just stood there trying to get her scent to infuse inside my nostrils. She walked away without a word.
Later that afternoon, Alex and Elliot returned obviously having patched up their feud - a conviction usually does that. The Captain emerged from his office and Alex perched on the side of my desk, stealing three of my senses immediately. Her scent intoxicating; that skirt riding oh so high; and that voice tinged with victory. It took an eraser to my head (thanks, Fin) to knock me out of my moment to find reality greeting me with satisfied blue eyes.
“We’ve gotta run, Liv.” And with that Fin and I had caught a case. I walked past her, revelling in the chance to breathe her in one last time, and smiled at her as I said goodbye. For the rest of the night I concentrated on breathing through my mouth trying to keep her smell longer.
Alex POV:
On my way out I casually dropped my Mont Blanc pen on the brunette’s desk. Maybe she has sinus or more likely I should probably thank Issey Mayake and be glad I stopped by to freshen up before dropping in. I’ll need to get that pen tomorrow.....
