lost + the day the world went away
Made for picspammy: illustrate a song. Tricked the lot of you, huh? Thought I'd go for Radiohead. I was but someone very awesome beat me to it, used the song and subject and everything. I had to think fast. Then I heard this version of The Day The World Went Away and I was sold.
It's quiet and sad and reminded me of a lot of dying on Lost. It's own animal, isn't it? The song is also it's own animal. Very different from the original studio album version which is mush harsher, louder, angrier. Death on Lost is brutal but fitting and every character goes when they have to. There was such a sense of dread for them, such finality. The scenes themselves hurt like hell to watch. It felt to be it, over, finished. They were no longer part of this story, their time in this world was over. So. Yeah. ~deep shit over~
