At home, Norrington disappeared directly into his room for some peace and quiet, only to find the basket of oranges still gracing his table. I loved the ball in this one - the sense that people are enjoying themselves. It's become a bit of a cliche that the navyboys dread a ball because of the husband-hunting young ladies, so it was extremely refreshing to see them actually having a good time.

And the French, as I'm sure you know, was fine for the most part-the only thing which confused me was the term 'Tu me fourchai' as I couldn't find a translation for fourchai-i tried a few different possible infinitives, but couldn't find a match. The only thing I got was fourcher-fork. Which I'm sure isn't what you meant. I think the verb you want is 'enculer', although it is a 'vulgar' verb, but it would fit into context here.
Great story-I love it-be sure and post more here please! I want to read le prochaine histoire. :)
