I've always wondered if you save those emails that you receive from ff.net with Review Alerts, if they would be there even if your fic were deleted, etc ( Read more... )

I have a special webmail account for all my reviews,so I'll still have them if ff.net goes under or deletes my account if I break some rule. That way they are also safe from my PC going wrong.

Hello? FF.net sends you an EMAIL alert. If you save those, like I do, to a folder in your email account, it stays exactly the same. If FF.net could access a sent email and tamper with it, even if my story were deleted, I would seriously be afraid. Sure the link won't work anymore, but the hard copy email with the review should always stay the same. (unless there is something wrong with your email server). Like Linda, I leave them in my email account online so I don't lose them if something happens to my computer. There is also the risk of the email server frying, but oh well.

Links on story alerts sometimes don't work, but I'm more concerned for my reviews, and I keep those emails and there is no way FF.net can do anything to them once they've sent them. They don't magically alter! LOL! I also save them occasionally to a word doc, but I'm way behind. *crosses fingers*

I just worry about review alerts. I check my 'regular' writers on a semi-regular basis and I figure even if I dont get a notice for one chapter, I'll notice when I get an alert for the next chapter. :D

And my roots (and much more) are gray, not blond!
