This was very moving.Ivorwen (SP? AS I don't have LOTR open) is an interesting character.I've not read "Peoples of M-e" so this is new to me.

I havent read anything on her (and I think the spelling is right, though Tolkien originally used an E instead of an I) other than the advise she gave Gilrean (who was spelled Gilrain at this point in PoME), but I've seen it a couple of places.

Thought-provoking, Nautika. I never knew that Gilraen might've not wanted to marry Arathorn.

I have never read PoME, but I will someday.

Actually, she didnt want to marry because she was younger than most women of the Dunedain were when they wed. Also it says Arathorn was older (and stern). I just sort of read between the lines whether they were there or not. Paraphrasing is a risky thing!
