I love it. It completely feels like a missing scene from the episode, or a scene that should have been in the next episode. I love its realism and the emotion you captured in it. Very moving. And I love the ending.

Sorry I just now got around to reading this. I got paranoid that if I read any of the other entries, I would accidentally thematically plagiarize, so I avoided them until I was done. This backfired. Everybody else has written romantic, funny stories, whereas I just wrote something dirty. Ah well.

Again, this story is very deep, very wonderful. I'm fixed on those last two sentences-- picturing them on the bridge, holding one another, almost like a lover's pieta, making these absolutely unkeepable promises and willing themselves to believe and master their faith in one another.

So tender and poetic. The knot metaphor is so apt; any way they go, they're still wrapped up in the life they've chosen with each other. The last two sentences, particularly, are breathtaking.
