Had a great day. I went to Padova to go shopping with some friends, and we took a long walk downtown, checked a lot of stores, and enjoyed the perfect weather. I bought two pjs, I really needed winter ones as I only had spring ones left, and adding blankets on the bed just didn't cut it. They're both pink and warm, very cute

A guy tried to chat me up about Doctor Who once, obviously coming from the presumption that simply because he was a guy and I was a girl, he would have to know more about DW than me. True, I'm no expert, but I am quite, quite familiar with New Who and have the basics on Old Who, with a fair numbers of stories seen, too.

I wasn't too cruel, but I thought the same like you--if you're trying something, don't just LOOK confident. Plus it was kind of unfair to raise my hopes up without delivering!

(And he was too cocky for words--which of course was the most important thing.:))

I'm not one to make fun of people, although when someone tries to pick me up I'm quite cold when I refuse them. BUT I'm in this huge AC phase, and very sensitive about it, and he just assumed that since I was a girl, I must had bought that book for someone else, and I could never realize he only knew the title of the franchise and nothing else.

I get very protective of my fandoms and this kind of assumptions really piss me off.

I really hate it when guys try to pick me up when I'm with my friends. Ok, it's not like it happens everyday, but when it does, it's annoying. Usually I'm quite cold and walk away fast, but this time he just used poor Altair, I had to defend my baby's honour! :D
