I finally watched Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. First things first: I'm a huge fan of old Burton movies, and I hated or disliked all his recent movies (but the Corpse Bride). I quite liked the film too. I'm a huge nerd for Burton in general, but I'm an even bigger nerd for Alice in Wonderland, and I quite enjoyed all the nods to the original book in this version. And, as always, the costumes and sets were jaw-dropping. I can always rely on Burton for that, if nothing else.

And, I think Alice/Hatter hit its peak with curiousinsane, a webcomic/fanfiction that started a few years back. It's on hiatus now, but it's basically a take on Disney's Alice and other characters, focusing on a budding romance between Alice and Hatter. It just spiraled from there. It is pretty cute though!

After all, I guess that if you want to create some romance inside that world, you have to go for the human characters, and they are quite a few. It was the logical choice, I think.
