So far today, I have learned two things.

1) For somebody who did Film & Media Studies at Uni, there are a lot of films I haven't seen that I apparently should have done.

2) I really cannot read comics.

I wasn't part of any societies at Uni. I probably should have been but I didn't know where they were.

And I couldn't be bothered.

As in any kind of comic! And I don't even just mean "can't read" as in "don't like", I mean "can't read" as in "am physically unable"!

My brain just doesn't work that way, it doesn't connect the pictures to the words properly. I just can't do it.

I read a comic strip this morning that was a HIMYM joke/parody/thing and then was ritually humiliated by my friends (who do read comics) pointing out I'd completely misunderstood it because I'd read it wrong. Pictures + Words don't = story for my brain!

(It was funnier my way.)

Ryan has been threatening me with comic reading lessons for at least a year but we've never got around to it!
