1) Oh, it's a log in thing. That SOUNDS like it might be a problem with your cookies, but then. I might not know what I'm talking about. Hee. I know something like that (not exactly the same) happened to me once, with Lj randomly logging me out at times, and it ended up being a problem with my cookies.

But the thing is, it isn't actually logging me out. Everything stays logged in, it's just the thing appears at the top AS WELL. It's STUPID. And I've cleared my cookies recently, it's been doing this for at least two weeks and I've had a temp-file clearout since then.

So I'm all logged in, but it's just that little log in box that keeps popping up that's making it stupid.

The LJ problem is to do with the 'remember password' feature of Firefox. If you disable the feature for livejournal.com it should fix the problem. :)

But I don't use that feature! I always tell it not to remember passwords. Firefox is stupid! I'm going back to IE. I never had this problem with IE.

Hmm that's very odd, so far the only people to have the problem have been using the passwords thingy. I guess you could try http://www.livejournal.com/update.bml?altlogin=0 , that might work. If not, then I dunno what could be causing it. :(

Have you tried what scaryjeff said? It didn't help for me since I don't use that feature, but this is his suggestion!

Apparently it fixed it for everybody else!
