Yeah, he was doomed. The goldfish started picking on him right away, nipping at his little fins. And there was no way he could've survived his head being munched on. The Oscar is over 5 inches long now!
As for the goldfish, lol, there are a few options. The oscar will need a bigger tank at some point, and we could move the goldfish with him at that time. Or, (more likely)we'll move the biggest goldfish with the Oscar, and keep the medium ones where they are. Supposedly when Gambit gets his new tank, I get to (finally) put whatever fish *I* want in the smaller one. Personally I find the Oscar to be a very impractical fish. Stupid thing needs a 55-70 gallon tank when it's full grown. *rolls eyes*. My mom had 2 goldfish that grew to be 6 inches, or something nuts like that, so who knows how ginormous mine will get? Lol!
