I wasn't going to post again, but I just hung up from my friend Jay. Yes, it's 3am, I wasn't kidding when I said I have a 24/7 phone policy, and that my friends use it, lol ( Read more... )

Dylan told me, and then my mom separately, that he wants to have his birthday here, with us, not with his grandmother!

I can only begin to imagine how happy that must have made you :-D

I originally had tried to describe how happy i was, but I gave up, lol! Because nothing I typed came close to expressing how thrilled I was to hear him say this! :D+

"Melon is the potato of the fruit world."

*LOL*
That reminded me of a time when I had a half a dozen people at my Queen St. apt., and I was fixing rice and beef stew for everyone; One of my friends sighed and stared sadly at his plate and said 'Potatoes. There's always too much of something in beef stew.'

Ok, not so funny, but it just reminded me, ok? :P

Now see? I laughed out loud when I read that! I'm a dork though, lol!
And it illustrates Jay's point, in comparing melon to potatoes as filler, haha.
(And your friend was right. I hate it when there's too much carrots in my beef stew. Too much, too many, whatever.)

Carrots I like-It's the potatoes. They're always too big, and not soft enough.
There's nothing grosser than a crunchy potato chunk in your stew.
