Well after discussing it with the fiance, I decided to go to the Enter the Haggis concert, who is a celtic rock band, instead of the TBM concert just because I ( Read more... )

celtic, metal, the birthday massacre, enter the haggis, celtic music, celtic fling, goth music

I know, but that does not mean I have not matured in the past couple years and in those couple of years my music taste has changed a great deal probably because of the absence of certain enviroments and introductions to new ones.

I know what you mean, I'm just kidding around with you.

My tastes haven't so much changed as me just listening to a lot of stuff I've stopped listening to for awhile.

And playing catch up.

Maybe you can go listen to Enya with my mom. :P

Suggestion: check out Faith and the Muse's "Annwyn, Beneath the Waves" album. Goth rock with lots of medieval folk influence.

It is but there is Celtic Metal but I have yet to get to it. My fiance and my one friend is what kind of helped this transition along. My fiance likes Celtic music a lot and the only concerts she is willing to go to are the ones she really likes because she has to endore migraines when she goes so she only wants to go if she knows she is going to enjoy it. And my friend and I were roommates sophmore year and he always had metal going and I realized how much I like metal.

The Birthday Massacre doesn't suck and I still enjoy listening to them, I still have them on my Ipod and if Tim and Danielle ever come back and want to go, I'll see them in concert again. I just prefer other things over TBM now because I don't relate to the music as I once did. I will have to say, their recent uproar in popularity and what they have done with it severely dissapoints me but they still are producing good music.

I don't relate to Orgy as much as I used to but they are still a good band. Oh yeah, you should check out Julien-K by the way, it has Ryan Shuck and Amir in it and they are awesome for only being half of Orgy.
