Shampoo Bars

Hello! I'm wondering if anyone uses a shampoo bar and if you have hard water. I'm in Cleveland, OH and we have pretty hard water, not as hard as some places but pretty hard. Very metallic as well. I've tried no poo and more natural shampoos but since the results are meh, I'm still searching for the best hair care routine. Just noticed this past ( Read more... )

I've heard good things as well but their products sometimes have SLS in them and the prices are a little high!

LUSH actually made a shampoo bar specifically for people with hard water

All of Lush's shampoo bars have SLS in them, though.

If your problem is hard water, you might want to consider a shower filter. That will make a bigger difference in the state of your hair than changing shampoos.

We have one and it hasn't made a huge difference in the hardness. It mostly takes out chlorine which I found essential for my skin. Hair doesn't really seem any different. Wish I could afford a nicer filter but when renting I'm not all the interested in spending too much money on things I will have to go around and remove. But thanks for the comment!

Try emailing Chagrin Valley and ask what their customer feedback re: hard water has been? I've contacted them in the past about things, and always found them to be very personable.
