I'm assuming it's vinyl.

You'll probably want to heck before you do anything aside from what you've done for cleaning it, just so you don't ruin anything.

Does the inside contain cloth, or is it hardened vinyl through the entire thing? If there is cloth on the inside, you can always try the old goth "get the smoke out of the club clothes" trick: 1 cup of vodka to 4 cups of water. Soak the item in question and then let it air dry. Should neutralize most smells.

The outside is hard but the inside is a softer vinyl-or some other man-made, non-absorbent-cloth-like material. Whatever it is, I'm sure that it won't be harmed. And at this point it's unusable so I will take the risk. :) Thanks!

I was going to suggest vodka, too. If that doesn't work, apparently coffee grounds is a super odour-eater. You may want to try that, too?

I am a big fan of activated charcoal for odor removal. You can find it at pet stores.

Oi, I'm in Michigan where we just received over a foot of snow and subzero temperatures. Hopefully one of these other suggestions works, or else I'll be shoving the case in my closet till June.
