Is there a natural alternative to Pumpkin Spice flavored CoffeeMate? I know CoffeeMate is a bottle of who knows what chemicals, but the Pumpkin Spice flavor is yummy!

food: substitutes, food: beverages, food: products

Yup. My favorite method is to pour the coffee in a travel mug, then add various spices, organic cream or half and half, organic chocolate syrup, and honey.
Actually, I really like adding this with lots of cinnamon:

I like to do this, although I haven't tried pumpkin spice exactly. Still, I get a better flavor if I put some of the milk/soymilk I use in another container, mix in the spices/sweetener I want, and let it sit in the fridge for at least a day before using it. That way the flavors come out in the milk a little more (rather than just having stuff floating around in the milk). If you want some for *right now* though, tossing what you will use into a cup and microwaving it works almost as well (steaming it is better, if you have a machine with a steaming wand, but I just have a regular old coffee machine).

If you make your own coffee you can just add spices to the grounds before you perk them in whatever manner you use. The particular blend of spices probably wouldn't taste exactly like the coffeemate does though. But lots of people put cinnamon into their coffee. Adding things like ground cloves and allspice would not be a big stretch of the imagination.

I toss cinnamon and nutmeg into my coffee all the time when brewing. Tasty.

Agreed!

Also, the internet tells me:
1. Measure 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon into a small bowl or cup.
2. Add 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger.
3. Add 1/8 teaspoon of ground allspice or ground cloves.
4. Add 1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg.
5. Stir to blend.
6. Makes 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice.

Then cream and sugar to taste ^_^

Thank you! I don't have whatever gene it would be that would make a person interested in / good at cooking, but this I can do.

Is it available yet this year? It's not in Canada, so I have to drive down to the US to get it, but it's worth the trip IMO.
