Selling natural products

Feb 04, 2010 20:37

Lately, I have been trying to think of ways to make a little extra cash. Tonight I had an idea that it might be good to get back into selling Avon (Canada based beauty products company, similar to having passion parties, etc.).

But I am wondering if there are any similar companies that sell only natural/organic products?

living: natural, recommendations, natural products, shopping

Dunno if you have it in Canada, but try Nutrimetics

My friend's sister sells Arbonne (http://www.arbonne.ca/index.asp?lang=eng), which advertises as being a natural company (here's their ingredient policies page - https://www.arbonne.ca/products/index.asp). I have a salt scrub from them, and the ingredients are pretty good. However, it looks like they don't list ingredients for their products online, which always makes me feel like a company purposely wants to hide the ingredients. But as you can see on the ingredients policies page, it still seems better than Avon.

Ah ha, just as I suspected. They are hiding 'cones and parabens, among other nasties.

Just wanted to let you know, Avon is not Canada-founded. It started in New York. :)

I have not seen any companies that have organic things, just small stores. Maybe you could ask a local organic store if they have catalogs and need someone to put them out.

Interesting. Considering I used to sell it, you'd think this is something I would know. Haha, oh well.

Not only that, but Avon is a pretty common household name...I'd be surprised if anyone in the US doesn't know what it is. I don't use their products and never have, but I am still very aware of them!

I wasn't sure how common it was, or how many people would know about it, which is why I tried to give a bit of a description about it. Didn't want to post a question if nobody would know what I was talking about!

forgot to add, my MIL sells this and has me hooked, they list all their ingrediants on the website and everything I've tried has been great.
You can check out her website if you'd like at:

She knows lots of people who know the ins and outs of the company who'd be happy to talk without pressure :P
