For those of you still on the fence about natural deodorant...

About a month and a half ago I made the switch from lifelong user of antiperspirant/deodorant to a natural deodorant.  I was at the health food store and decided on a whim to buy one.  I picked Kiss My Face Liquid Rock in lavender.  I know that everyone's chemistry is different, and I read a few posts on here from people who had no luck with that ( Read more... )

Tom's has been awesome for me too. I've actually gotten to the point where I can use a single swipe, if I'm not planning on loitering in my garden for a few hours. I used to get horrible, bleeding rashes from the regular deodorants...turned out I was allergic to the aluminum tetra-something-or-another.

My husband hasn't said a thing about me, you know, wafting ;), ever since I switched to the more natural stuff. He told me the other day that I actually smelled *better*. I knew I married him for a reason...

i find this to be true but none of the 'natural' deodorants work for me so i just use some essential oil twice a day. it probably makes me smell intense to people but at least i don't reek, and trust me i got pits of foul doom .... my feet are just evil so i wear flip flops 9 months minimum.

This is really interesting, thanks for posting it. I'm one of those who has been on the fence about natural deodorants. I may just have to take the plunge and try them out now.

Thank you for posting this. I've recently started using Tom's of Maine for the same reason, painful lumps under my arms. It's only been a few days of use but I already feel like I sweat less than I did with aluminum based anti persperants and deodorants. I'm glad that your lumps are going away.

I too started using natural deodorant, I noticed those lumps also but they have gone away. I have but a few white shirts of which have been stained already by the deodorant I was using before, but I have noticed on colored shirts it seems to not show (kinda like those adds that say the deodorant is 'little black dress approved'). I love it and will not be switching back. Thanks for the info on the baking soda paste, I had read many users having a lot of luck with that.
