Hey there. This is my first post on here so I am really excited! I am thrilled to have found this site and look forward to using it often

There are three good brands that I've tried: Nature's Gate (this one is my first choice and seems to be the most effective and I am in love with the patchouli/orange scent). Kiss My Face works well as does Alba Botanical.
Be aware that if you are switching from an anti persperant you may be pretty stinky for a few days or weeks while you detox. I noticed this went away completely within a few weeks. Also, if I am sweating or it's hot in general, I've noticed I have to reapply the deodorant every 4 or so hours.
i definitely like the salt crystal. I use that almost daily. (all through the summer, or days i'm doing lots of manual labor, or drinking lots of coffee). If i'm going out on a date, or trying to be presentable any time between July and September, i use a yummy-scented Nature's Gate along with the salt crystal.
You'll eventually start to notice what factors make you smell, and then just learn to stay away from them or cut back on them... Or prepare for the olfactory repercussions.
The most important thing to know about the salt crystal is that you should always use it when your underarms are squeaky clean, otherwise it doesn't work as well.
In a pinch, i've washed with witch hazel and then applied the crystal. But fresh out of the shower, as i_bleed_magenta noted, is best.
I second the deodorant crystal. I've been using one for about 15 years now, and have never had a body odour problem. I shower every second day, and it lasts just fine between showers. I never have to reapply it.
lots of suggestions in the memories for this as well. Best: crystals. I've got a spray and a solid, both work. I've added tea tree and lavender eo's to the spray though for already stinky days. runner up: trader Joes OK: Natures Gate winter clear Herbal Clear Naturally Fail: Toms of maine 'unscented' coriander/lichen Jason apricot something, This worked, then they changed the formula and applying it was like sanding my armpits. IN a pinch: Neosporin. Just a tiny, tiny bit so you aren't sticky, but it keeps the microbes down.
My girlfriend is love with the Tom's of Maine stuff (to the point where she refuses to use anything else... which is tricky because I haven't seen any sold in Australia!), but it doesn't work for crap on me.
I use my crystal right out of the shower too. But when I want a little bit of scent, I usually use a peach scented body spray from Avon. It says "naturals" on the bottle, but I'm sure it isn't entirely natural :/
