I find some simple talc or cornstarch powder between my toes really helps to stop the blisters from even starting. Try that?

Me too! Both the bandages and the weird toes issue. ;)

And to the OP: 'moleskin' works great any time you want to prevent a blister. (It's some synthetic stuff you can get at the drugstore, no actual skinning of little critters involved.)

Go to your local pharmacy and ask for gel toe separators; these are little tubes which slip over the toe and stop it rubbing. My friend is a podiatrist and highly recommends these.

Weirdly enough, I have this exact problem (same toe) and it just started THIS YEAR. Usually a callous, this year with blisters under it. Weird coincidence.
