I've been toying with the idea of being a "straight hair natural" for a solid year. Do you worry about damage? also may I ask about your strand density. I have annoying fine strands that get damaged just looking at a flat iron so if I go ahead there's no turning back lol

I've been a straight natural since I was about 11, so, the damage has come, ha, but, its all in how you manage it and the sensitivity of your hair.

Do you mean how dense my hair is or how thick my individual hair strands are? My strands individually are medium, but the strands are pretty densely packed in.

I know I am damaging my hair to an extent but I try to counteract the negative effects such as the dryness that I already naturally have being compounded by the heat - thus the Bonacure, ha.

My mom has pretty fine hair and is also a straight natural - she just doesn't press her hair very hard and oils her hair, keeps it up, etc.
