your possums are actually not "possums" they are opossums which i think are more carnivorous. Our possums are omnivorous and have a completely different diet and teeth morphology (ours mainly browse foliage though). Your opossums are closer related to the Australian carnivorous marsupials such as quolls and antechinus etc than to our possums. They are very different surprisingly
They are very adorable, they are about the size of a small cat, weighing around 2-3 kilos as adults. They can be ferocious though, ive been bitten 4 times now while putting their collars on. I do love brushtails though which is the species in these photos
