I could teach both you boys for free. I can teach you knitting and purling (the two main stitches...which can make you scarves galore) and then you can spend your money on the more advanced wristlet or glove or sock classes or whatnot if you want to learn fancy patterns. And you don't have to be SMRT to learn it or teach it. Once you try it you'll realize how easy it is! Save your money for yarn. I'm a certified teacher, baby. It could be fun. We can stitch and bitch at Matty's house. Just let me know if that sounds appealing or if you have your heart set on a Greenwood excursion. I could do it Saturday even. xo

OMG yarn party at my house Saturday?! I have extra yarn I could share a pair of needles, and some books for ideas. we'd just need to get Matty some need's and maybe some beverages and snacks? I can make muffins. I'm so gay.

I used to knit and could probably use a refresher course!

When you going to go?

the one I'm taking is this coming Saturday but there are several. you can see more info at the URL above.

this first one is a beginning class, I also want to a couple more, maybe this one: I am always striving for "oh-so-trendy"

Gauntlets - Two 2-hour sessions. These oh-so-trendly hand-warmers are fingerless wristlets joined between the thumb and fingers. Buy or bring supplies (list provided at registration). $40

Saturdays Jan. 21 and 28, 1 to 3 p.m.

yes! I just got the book over the holidays and it's great.

I just noticed there is a group tonight, but it's in ballard. why do they call it "SeattleCapitolHillKnitters"?

where are you taking your class?

Pacific Fabrics up at Northgate, since that's pretty close to me. I've never been interested in knitting before but suddenly it seems appealing. I'm also sewing stuff!
