Chapter 1: The transfer student
"Class. I'd like to begin the day by introducing a new student. He just transferred from Osaka." Takuda-sensei ushered him in and told him to introduce himself.
Murmurs and whispers built up the excitement as the transfer student walks in slowly. step by step.
The sight was an utter disappointment.
The transfer student was wearing the Horikoshi Gakuen uniform in a rather awkward manner. His tie was crooked, his blazer was way too big for him and his pants, there were holes everywhere! He was not from a wealthy family like the rest of the students here, judging by his appearance. He was probably one of those geeks. Sighs, groans and even laughter filled the classroom.
"My name is Nakajima Yuto. Nice to meet you all. Please take care of me from now on!"
Despite the class's unfriendly welcome, he maintained a cool stance. He spoke in a confident manner and never once did he wipe out that silly grin of his from his face.
"Nakajima-san, your desk is at the back, beside Yamada-san's desk." Takuda-sensei pointed at the desk over there with a frown on his face, obviously displeased with his class's behaviour towards the transfer student. Nakajima Yuto walked along the aisle, smiling at everyone he passed and finally, stops at Yamada.
"You must be Yamada-san! Nice to meet you!" Again with that silly grin of his. It really irritated Yamada. How was he able to smile like that in school? Yamada just nodded his head. He didn't even bother to look at Yuto. Yuto still smiled as he sat down beside Yamada. Suddenly, Yuto started pushing his desk towards Yamada's desk, dragging his chair along as well. What was he doing?!
"Yamada-san, Takuda-sensei told me that I'd have to share books with you since I haven't got mine yet!" Yuto said it so casually with a grin on his face. Yamada just stared at him, speechless. He has to do what? And worse of all, with him!? Things were not going well, not at all.
