Dark Angel Halloween Ficathon
I signed up for da_halloween. Unfortunately RL means I haven't managed to finish my fic by the deadline although I have every intention of doing so asap. I have ~500 words written and here is the first 100 as a teaser although it does pretty much stand alone too.

It was just a glimpse, a flicker of a familiar shape in the corner of his eye but it stayed with him for the rest of the day. Alec had seen- thought- he’d seen him at the checkpoint in sector seven. But by the time he’d cleared the security there’d been no sign. Not that it mattered, Alec told himself as he cycled back to Jam Pony, it was impossible. He had to have been mistaken; it was probably just someone with a similar hair colour and build.
It couldn’t be who he thought it was.
It couldn’t be Ben.
