I wish you a return to full health and a swift recovery. I am so sorry and had no idea you were going through this. And I am outraged on your behalf regarding these practitioner's blindness to your true health needs.

Man, you've been through some hell. Can you maybe look into suing those who refused you medical treatment based on prejudice?

I dont have the energy or inclination for a lawsuit - at the moment I have 6 weeks to 3 months for recovery. I have no income coming in and financial problems that need dealing with....

Good Lord Lisa, you've been through hell and back in a hand basket. I had no idea what was going on with you, only that you'd sort of disappeared. I wish you well and hope that the recovery is fast. Keep me posted on how you're doing.

I loathe London GPs, my uncle's foot looks like he got a sudden case of elephantitis and they still had him waiting months before he could see a specialist. Much prefer the health care here - while it may suck something awful it's no where nearly as bad as socialised health care.

I went off on a tangent, sorry. Anyway hope you get better soon!

No healthcare system is perfect. Bad doctors can be found all over the world. I thank god everyday that I live in the UK now and can get seen and treated unlike back home in America where you either do without or go broke wrangling with insurance nonsense. Here in Wales my meds are free and thank god given the expense, but even on the NHS in England I wouldn't have had to pay a full whack. I'm with a top-notch NHS trust here and even the national health service I had in France was fantastic.

Well, the House just passed the bill on health care here, let's see if it becomes law.

reforming insurance isn't enough. A full blown national health service with equal access to all is long overdue...

I'm glad that everything came out okay in the end and that you are on the road to a full recovery.

So am I 8))

I'll never knock the NHS much. If this had happened back home in the US I'd have been in dire straights.
