Yep Im back after too long a hiatus. Ive just been in a very frustrating place with life (which I will blog about in the next couple of days...).
Yes this persists alright. Ive just weathered an onslaught for having the temerity to point out that Native Americans arent just the one stereotype that people are used to from television, novels and films. We come from varied backgrounds and contrary to popular belief even amongst our own we have more than one skin colour, hair type or set of facial features. If people dont "see" you as NDN apparently you are not. I was called a "wannabe". Odd since this person doesnt know me or anything about my family. The University of Pennsylvania has been studying my people for decades and has even re-published a book about us. All of our official records have always said "Nanticoke Indian". But thats not good enough for some...
Good to be back and I have NOT forgotten your fic - I just need to get into the writing groove again 8) and Im am working on that 8)).
