"Do you like my stupid hair?/Could you guess that I didn't know what to wear" magyar_queene July 15 2009, 02:10:53 UTC
(S-Somehow I posted it without finishing it! oops)

Elizaveta had been sitting on her couch, legs drawn up to her chest and staring down at her painted toenails, trying to figure out just why she was already finished getting dressed. Normally, for the last few dates she had gone on, she'd only be just finally getting dressed and needing to start on her makeup. But even with several last-minute outfit changes and mussing with her hair for far longer than she should have, she still had time to sit and stare at her toes. She wasn't entirely too sure if she excepted him to be late, on time, or even early. But well... she was certainly running a lot earlier than she normally did ( ... )

OOC: ^_^ "First Date" seemed to be an appropriate enough opener. aotearoan July 15 2009, 16:15:27 UTC
Wow. She looked... The word "ravishing" came to mind but he didn't let it escape. His eyes widened every so slightly and he felt a bit of heat come to his cheeks. Dammit. Was he really two and twenty? Or had he just reverted to sixteen again. Aiden coughed a bit and nodded before extending the plant. It had taken a little time to find a decent nursery around here that was ecologically friendly and had the kind of plant he was looking for.

"Er... yes. Naturally. It seems a little... greener than cut roses, right?" he said with a slight smile. "Er... not to sound like I'm proselytizing or anything."

He'd gotten her a potted mint plant. "I don't know if you use this in cooking or anything but- it makes a kitchen smell nice," he said. He had been debating the basil one too but it didn't seem right.

OOC: I had it on repeat as I wrote my reply lol magyar_queene July 15 2009, 18:54:29 UTC
It was slightly random (none of the guys she had dated ever brought her a potted plant on the first date--or well... ever), but terribly cute. She took the proffered pot and stepped aside, holding the door open a little wider. "Come in--I'll put this in the kitchen and grab my shoes and then we can go." Elizaveta smiled to herself as she stepped into the kitchen, moving the fish bowl on the counter a little to the side in order to place the potted mint next to it. "I use it sometimes in cooking, but it's also great in salads," she said as she adjusted it before turning her smile from the plant to the one who brought it.

"Thanks for the gift!" Elizaveta chimed as she slipped on her shoes and grabbed her purse from the table (trying not to disturb the papers strewn across it). "Shall we get going, then?" She wasn't entirely too sure what to expect from this date (he had already surprised her once with the gift).

Aiden figured that it was a little more creative than a rose anyways; he wasn't a Casanova by any means and didn't pretend to be one. He stepped into apartment just a little hesitantly, as any male would be entering a definite sanctum of well, femininity.

"It tastes good in lemonade too," he mentioned after a moment. "Well, American lemonade anyways." He corrected himself in time; it had startled him when he had tried to order one at a restaurant when he first came to the United States and instead of the clear fizzy drink he had expected, he had gotten, well, sweetened lemon juice. His eyes took in the apartment with mild interest and then turned to look at her with a smile.

"Of course!" Don't blush, Aiden. Don't get flustered...

"You're not afraid of heights, are you?" he asked as he escorted her out of the apartment.
