Question: I can't believe I'm really posting this Okay, this is just for shits and giggles. All of you watch anime, right? Is there a particular anime that you like, and what's your favourite character/ pairing in it? And obviously, why?

Ah, aside from the upcoming Hetalia anime, that is. Su-san's probably ( Read more... )

Many of the anime that are popular in Japan are popular here, particularly Naruto and (a personal favourite of mine) Bleach. Evangelion has been extremely popular for quite a long time as well. Haruhi Suzumiya is also quite popular here. (One of my citizens made an extremely popular parody of Yu-Gi-Oh, and another voiced and co-created an extremely popular parody of Naruto. There have been others that have followed in their footsteps as well.*) Basically, despite a comparatively lackluster amount of licensing in the UK, I have been keeping up with many different series.

I'm looking forward to the anime; it will be interesting to see how our antics play out in animated form.

* [OOC- The voice/RPer of UK in this community was Ichigo and his dad in one of the early Bleach parodies.]

It's good to stay updated! Looks like you're the most up-to-date with regards to this issue among all of us here so far, and that puts you on the frontlines of something. Do you have any personal favourite characters aside from America or relationships?

I'm really loving the seiyuu they picked for you so far. Sugiyama-san did an incredible job in both drama CDs. I personally think you're one of the better-drawn characters too-- you didn't bribe China or anything, did you? Y'know...opium? so I guess you won't have any complaints, huh?

[ f-for serious? XD Link me? ]

What exactly are you insinuating with "aside from America?" Well, I do sort of identify a lot with Kyon from The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya, the sort of "voice of reason" in the insanity around him. I also rather like Ichigo from Bleach, a sort of tough but good-hearted guy who can see ghosts. I definitely don't have complaints about the person chosen to voice me; I'm sure he will continue to do a fine job voicing me. No, I didn't bribe China with any sort of drugs or anything like that.

(OOC- The person who had it on her account deleted her Youtube account, so it's gone, but I was Ichigo in another production, as well as Ed Elric and Shuuichi Shindou, to name a few.)

I g-guess I'm looking forward to the anime about us...? I-I'm worried they're g-going to leave L-Lithuania out...! Th-They can't do that...! ...Can they...?

You watched that too? Awesome. XD I love the little fire sprite--what's his name again? He's adorable.

Eh, since Lithuania's already appeared in the CDs, I'd say they're, er, more likely to leave Mr Latvia out instead...? I sure hope that doesn't happen though. It'd be nice if I could see Estonia too.

It is something modern I think? I haven't really concerned myself with too many things from this age.

Perhaps one of my boys can explain it to me.

You totally should get them to do it. You're missing out something really amazing by not watching anime.

I don't know if I'm going to be on this anime, but I don't really care, after seeing what they did to Sweden's hair and Feliciano's stupid 'waaaai~' I'm a little worried about how they would represent me.

Anime? Famous animes on Japan also become famous here and the story of a few of them even happens in my place like Gunslinger Girl... I watched Nodame Cantabile last week and Darker Than Black is really cool too.

...u-uh, yeah. B-but don't say that-! It would really be nice to see a coloured animation of Spain feeling you up both you and Spain being animated in colour...and voiced. Although it would piss us fans off so much if they did a crappy job. Feliciano's singing the theme song--hopefully you could do a duet with him someday...or something.

Aaah, that's awesome~! Katekyo Hitman Reborn has Italy references too, so perhaps you know that one...? Though that fandom's been chaotic of late. Darker than Black, Gunslinger and Nodame Cantabile are all excellent choices. Any characters or pairings which stand out to you in particular?

Well... I don't show up very much I did a better job at running away from the war than Feliciano so I guess it makes sense, but Spain will be animated since he appears more.

I only heard about Katekyo Hitman Reborn, but I'll try to watch it. I don't like any pairings in Darker than Black or Gunslinger because the girls are all under aged, but in Nodame Cantabile I think that Nodame and Chiaki should be together.

Agreeing with Latvia, here. I haven't had much exposure to anime. Its very interesting though, some of it is really strange and artful like Cat Soup or Paprika. Miyazaki movies always seem to get very popular, however.

As for the anime, I'm excited about getting some exposure! I'm sure all of us Baltic States will be there.
