Time: Present
Question for: All Nations
Question: This year's World Ski Championships were very disappointing. How could I lose to Austria However, I understand that it is best not to dwell on such things. Therefore, in the interests of being social and asking questions of my peers, I'd like to ask which sports do you tend to expect to do well at

*present, *all nations

As you know, I'm going to be hosting the FIS Nordic Skiing Championship in two days. We don't have the saying "Norwegians are born with skis on their feet" for nothing. I do look forward to seeing you there, though.

Other popular sports are handball and football, but other nations are far better at us at these.

Ah, yes. Thank you for hosting. I hope that this tournament goes better than the last one...

[ He... Never really does well in sports. ]

Kind of the same as Nor said... Handball and football are popular here. We're all right at both. I shouldn't get my hopes up to win anything, though.

[ He'll just have to focus on more artsy things... Like Eurovision. ]

I see. Well. Hmm. I suppose that's fair enough.

(Switzerland is no good at consoling people. I'm afraid this is the best you're going to get from him.)

Well then, skiing of course! In my house, we pretty much learn to ski before we can walk.

I keep expecting to do really well in hockey, and then it never happens... it doesn't matter though, as long as Sverige ranks below me.

My country is hosting the Rugby World Cup in September. Rugby is one of our most popular sports here, and we did pretty well last year in our test matches so we're definitely in with a chance of winning it. Some people here seem to treat rugby like a religion which is kind of weird, but if it makes them happy it's okay.

Interesting. I've played rugby, but it's...not my specialty.

Alrighty, which sports would I expect to do well at? Lemme think... [serious face on]

Internationally speakin': cricket, rugby, swimming, diving, triathlon, track and road cycling, golf, surfing, rowing, sailing, equestrian, hockey, basketball (moreso women's), extreme sports... *scratches head* that's all I can think of right now. Those are my strengths at the moment, I spose. Back in the day I coulda said tennis and athletics too, but I'm not as strong there as I used to be... for now! Hahaha!

[sports... the national religion!]
