So, this morning I got an email from my grandma. It was all the usual stuff she always says except for, "keep me up to date on your 'studies'." Does that mean that not even she takes me seriously?

I think in my grandma's case, it wasn't supposed to be mean. She's 81, I don't think I should listen to her all that much. Besides, it can't suck that bad because whenever I send her a longer email about what I'm reading, doing, etc. She forwards it to all her friends. Don't ask me why ;)

Being made fun of and bein told that what you study is worthless sucks but I like to think that us people who do stuff like that are much better conversation partners. We can talk about books and all that fun stuff and it's accewsible to outsiders whereas people who study economics aren't as accessible (and SOOOO boring) when talking about their studies. Yesterday I was out with econ people and they spent the evening talking about fictional stock market portfolios.

We're awesome :D

Aww! Maybe she's trying to be supportive but didn't know quite how to describe your studies because they're a bit over her head?
