I'm not supersticious at all. I have lived through many Friday the 13ths without even realizing what day it was. This time, however, I got some bad luck, I guess ( Read more... )

I just now realized that it is even Friday the 13th.

His one other complaint was that I can't call Keanu Reeve a talentless hack

I realized it when I was writing the mails. Before that, I had no idea.

And he just is. It's like the director knew and gave him the part of the villain with almost no lines and only one facial expression for a reason. There's a gratuitous topless scene (where you mostly don't see his face) and he wears leather pants as if in an attempt to distract from his acting abilities.

Denzil Washington and Keanu Reeves? Was this "Much Ado About Nothing" by any chance? If so you can call Keanu Reeves a talentless hack. His English accent was awful and he was as wooden as a board in it!

To be fair to Keanu he is quite good in some of his films (I love Bill and Ted - both films - and My Own Private Idaho and I Love You To Death, both with River Phoenix I, thought he was really good in too, but then he always was when starring with River. They had a kind of chemistry which I've rarely seen since imho).

But yeah. In Much Ado he was a talentless hack! Or as stiff as a board, whichever your lecturer will let you get away with! (ok maybe he isn't quite a talentless hack but I'd definitely like to have words with whichever idiot voice coach tried to teach him an English accent >(. I reckon he was so busy trying to get that right, he forgot he was supposed to be acting in it ( ... )
