Sometimes lately I feel like... I dunno, I look at how I used to be, and I feel like I was swapped out somewhere... like I've been taken over, like a pod-person became the new me. I mean, I know that didn't really happen, but... I used to be so nice that a friend said once she worried I couldn't even defend myself when people were just verbally

Just because you think differently about different things doesn't mean you're still not inherently you. You haven't changed as much as you think. Not that I know this first hand, but really, any change that occurs (from what I've seen) is for the better. It's good that you stand up for yourself and you drink. Who the fuck cares what other people think of you. you are you and you are great.
