Of our Dragon*Con performances, it's the acoustic sets that really make me happy. In a twisted, sitting in the corner and giggling to myself maniacally kind of way ... but still.

We were standing toward the back attempting to sing along. Alas, we were flailing more than singing!

Still the end result was glorious. (And yes we noticed the big grin on your face!)

Simply wonderful! The Girly Girl has proclaimed that we "need to go to Dragon*Con next year". :)

Dragon*Con is huge and scary but a lot of fun. You'll all be at Steamcon, right? That should give her a taste of what to expect, though in a smaller dose.

How big is Dragon*Con, member wise? Yep, we'll be at SteamCon, which I suspect will be a smaller con than she's used. She's been a fixture of Norwescon since she was a baby. She's looking forward to SteamCon with glee, especially the concerts.

Now that you are doing bootleg Disney covers, I wonder (and I'm not at all kidding about this): I've always thought the Dr. Terminus song from Pete's Dragon would be fun to do a SteamPunk version of...and, considering most people don't even know that film ever existed at this point, much less that it was a Disney one, I wonder what the chances of that are...?!? ;)

I loved that movie. As a kid I watched it whenever I could. Twice in the theater and a few times on TV over the years. I can barely remember it now but I'd love to see it again.

I caught it a few years ago, I think, randomly on Irish television (when I lived there from '00-'05), and thought fondly back to the late 70s/early 80s, when I saw it a bunch of times as a kid.

Pete is a lousy protagonist, that's for sure; but who couldn't love Elliott the dragon?

And, though Dr. Terminus is one of the "bad guys," he's definitely the most steamy character in it (apart from, perhaps, Lampy the lighthouse-keeper)...Dr. Terminus' theme-song is, I think, actually titled "Passamashloddy" (the town name which the Dr. can never pronounce properly, and the chorus of which is him pronouncing it in various different, incorrect ways, including that one...!).
