I was thinking that it's the same everywhere: just the other day there was a news article about that the traffic was bad in the Netherlands on Wednesday (or whatever day it was) because it rained. But actually that 4-wheel thing is worse. I'd rather be delayed for a few hours than forever.
Some years ago, I was caught on the freeway on a snowy day just as the sun went down. It was below freezing so in a matter of about 10-15 minutes, the whole damn road turned into a 4-lane ice-skating rink. Thankfully, I was in the far right-hand lane which was slightly up hill. I pulled off the road and just sat there watching all the carnage. It was madness. Cars and trucks were slip-sliding into each other, wheels spinning, and honking their horns.
When it was all over and everyone decided that the best thing to do was abandon their cars and walk to somewhere warm, I started my car and drove home.
You're so lucky. I wish it snowed down here. I don't know how to drive in it but it sure would be fun to play in! Plus, I could get my snowboard out on some snow finally! Hope you had fun in the snow
Oh, yeah! Was just out wandering around in the snow and it looks to be about 4-5 inches worth so far. It's still coming down slowly so I anticipate another few inches by morning.
I know how the driving bit goes. So many people just can't drive in it. Of course many of them are horrid drivers in rain storms as well. -_- But yeah, I mostly stay at home when it snows. That way I can safely enjoy my favorite weather.
And I finally actually got some snow! (and not just slush mix) ^_^ YaY! Hehe

Take care, if you do have to go out.
