by not agreeing with him when he said he'd rather make the correct, yet unpopular decision, are you saying the president should make the decision that makes him the most popular, regardless of its effects?
that seems quite silly.

what the public wants as a majority isn't always in the publics best interest. face it, not everyone is smart enough or well informed enough to know whats best for them (in regards to many things) in the long or short run.

id rather make an unpopular, but correct decision than a bad decision that made me popular.
