Another Saturday, another Discussion Post! Leverage is tomorrow, guys! The Double Blind Job!

As a treat, here's a discussion post brought to you by someone other than me! Remember anything goes. If you can't quite describe your scene in SQUEE, then write it! Or draw it!

Discussion Post #4, brought to you by sheryden:

I would like to see a scene where one of the others has to rescue or protect Eliot. And I'm sure Eliot would be grumpy and annoyed by it afterwards. (He's adorable when he's grumpy! I can't help it!)

I wonder who would be the one to actually rescue Eliot...like the physical fighting? I'm thinking...Parker fights while Nate guns people down and plays look out

This could be a good excuse to bring back Tara or Mikal Dayan as guest stars--the team could approach them for help. Although I kind of like the idea of Nate gunning people down and Parker kicking ass. :D

I want to see them both come back. I grew to love Tara and I really liked the Lady Hitter! Oh! Speaking of lady hitters, can you check over my story, dear?

I actually have a whole episode I'd love to see (and keep hopeing for because come on 1 it's a classic and 2 it forces everyone to do someone elses job and don't the writers love that?)

My ambitions for The Retreival Job asside the scene I'd love to see is, in my head, a scene in the finale of this season, echoing back Eliot to Billy in Episode one (and the "I'm going to get you home, alive") only this time Eliot's been taken hostage and hurt and Nate and team come to the rescue!

I'd even just take Eliot being held hostage and hurt and the team rescuing him at any given point. Them acknowledging he does what he does so what happened to him will happen to him insted of them would be awesome.

You know. Just a little hurt!Eliot and some Eliot appriciation. Thats all I'm asking for here.

I agree with those who have said they want to see the team have to rescue Eliot at some point. Right now, I feel like he's being taken for granted by the team, and it's kind of ticking me off. If Eliot went missing, and the team had to rescue him, I think it would bring them all closer as a family.

Also, I'd like to see a scene from the days where Nate was still chasing Eliot. I'd love to see how they interacted when Eliot was still firmly entrenched in his world, and Nate was entrenched in his.

where everyone is family instead of breaking off into pairs.

And this. Yes. As much as I love the new season, that is my gripe. I want less couples stuff and more team interaction.

We've had flashbacks of everyone's lives, but Eliot's flashback was...a disappointment. A pervy highschool quarterback? Could they *be* more annoyingly cliched? See, I love Leverage because of how they re-work cliches, but *shivers* no. Just no.

I want to see flashbacks as to how Nate met all of them (especially Eliot).

Oh, I so agree. That made me cringe. I so loved that they were playing against type, and now... cliche much? The way I rationalize it is with the "all that glitters" mentality. In other words, he might be remembering it in a sugar-coated way, or he might just be remembering one or two good bits. The rest of his youth might've been a wreck. But yeah, that irritated me.

Also, I was kind of irritated when he made the comment about not knowing they gave out trophies for chess. Hello, they said he played chess in Season 1. Dammit, be consistent.

But yes, I want to see Nate's past with Eliot: how they met, a job where they worked parallel to each other--maybe a cat and mouse kind of thing.

Well, the way I see it, Eliot learned chess not as a hobby but as a way to hone his tactical skills. Or maybe it started out as a hobby. I don't know. The fact is maybe he was a little weirded out that they gave out trophies for hobbies. *shrugs*

I too want to see them rescue Eliot and I also want to see Hardison get to be the lead on the con once, I want to see him get to do Nate's job, I don't expect it to go well *laughs* but I want to see it.

In my fantasy world I want to see a crossover with Justified, but that's just pure fantasy *grins*

Lol, didn't Hardison already try to do Nate's job (and, seriously, how cute is it that Hardison wants to be a Mastermind) when they tackled Lillian Foods? Yeah...that went well *rolls eyes*.

In my fantasy world, there would be a Psych/Leverage crossover. C'MON WRITERS!

He did a little bit, he expressed interest, but he hasn't been given the opportunity to really do Nate's job, I mean full on be the master mind and have to do all the coordinating and thinking on the fly and rearranging the con, I want to see him have to do that and not by choice, I want it be spur of the moment and rough, I want it happen so that is shows the team that it's possible that they're not always going to be able to depend on everyone to do what they're good at or the roles they normally have and then have to work together to pull the con off. I don't think it will happen and I was irritated with Eliot's flashback, compared to everyone else's it was irritating and somewhat jarring in the episode for me.

I'm sure Eliot's other flashbacks won't be as silly cliched as that one. But, you're right...it served no purpose. It didn't give us a reason as to why Eliot became a hitter. In fact, it protrayed Eliot as 'normal', which isn't what our hitter is. You can't be normal hitting up people all the time. Plus, Eliot's been *lax* this season. Leaving people awake? C'mon, man!

I'm worried it's Eliot's turn to have a breakdown.
