Abuser

It's hard to take it seriously when certain in-duh-viduals carry on about being abused and abusers, when you read about these kind of incidents. This is real abuse. I hope the perpetrator is caught and jailed too.

I hope to the gods that they can identify this monster thanks to any DNA evidence left inside/on the poor little darling and I hope Bullet's claws left some permanent marks that he will find hard to explain! May Bast send the furies to claw into his chest tonight and rip his heart out so that he doesn't harm another individual!
What a perverted individual! This monster is beyond help and because rehabilitation is impossible for these sort of sadists, I'd euthenase him!

This article was the final straw, after reading the rapists of a 10 year old girl in Arakuna walked free because it was 'experimentation'. I've been involved in childish experimentation, it doesn't involve older people and passing on an STD. Then there was the woman who was murdered, put in a plastic garbage bag and dumped in a yard in springvale. Then poor Bullet, who's only fault was to be too trusting of a human. I am utterly and truly disgusted with humanity today :( I think euthanasia would be too good for the perpetrators of bullet's pain, but no... they'll get put in a nice little cell and not have any of their rights violated. There is something to be said for the draconian code, it is a harsh but effective deterrent.

In all the case studies I have read about modern serial killers there was always one common thread/precursor to their sadistic murderous adult behaviour......cruelty inflicted apon animals. I have no doubt that this evil creature - if not caught - will move onto 2 footed prey.

I would have to say the most sickening thing on this planet is the abuse and cruelty towards helpless creatures.

I honestly hope that they catch the abomination who did this and treat the crime seriously...unlike the gang rape in the news recently :(

I believe the link between animal torture and death is the reason Bullet's assault and death made the news. Don't even get me started on the gang rape!!!

I saw that on the news this evening and was disgusted. What kind of sick bastard does a thing like that?

p_stop made a valid point about the link between serial killers and cruelty to animals, and she's right. Indeed, when I read this post I was immediately reminded of a book I've just finished reading, Mindhunter by John Douglas, former psychoanalyst/profiler with the FBI (and who was a pioneer in the field). In it he says that one of the three symptoms of a potential serial killer in the formative years is cruelty to animals (the other two being chronic bedwetting and pyromania/arson/a fetish for lighting fires). Indeed Mr. Douglas might say that this perpetrator could move onto human prey next if not caught.

There are many sick bastards who think animals/children/women/race/colour/creed/religion is grounds for torture, cruelty and murder. Karma is a good concept, but it's too slow IMHO. RE: Mindhunter - Bedwetting and pyromania as well eh? I might have to find that book and read it, thank you for the info.

I want the punishment for animal cruelty to be the same as that for violence against human beings. I can't see why it shouldn't be considering humans and animals are both living creatures.
Sure, animals used in testing would be a special case but there are already ethical frameworks in place in most Universities(etc) that deal with animal testing, which should be made compulsory for any organisation that deals with animals anyway.
The way I see it, the bastards who did this are up for sexual assault and murder and they should be punished accordingly, not given a month stint in some cushy jail.
