I'm looking forward to reading the Qur'an, as well as the Christian Bible, and the Jewish Torah, among others. I have considered taking a Bible study course, but decided that not only will I get more out of it on my own, but I don't want to have to answer any awkward questions about why I'm studying The Bible when I'm not Christian. I believe in respecting all faiths, and learning what I can about them, even if I don't personally follow their specific path.
Bless, dear! I very much can identify with what you've written here, though God dragged me by the ear to Orthodox Christianity and not to Islam. But it warms my heart to see others seeking spiritual nourishment through true submission and acceptance -- seeking guidance and the protection of God's Hand rather than wish/demand fulfillment. Bless you, and welcome home. :)

I can relate to that because I did the same thing. I'm also fascinated by islam but I lean more toward buddhism.
