Firstly! Got a very special package from dingogrrl in the mail today. With bobble-head Puss-in-Boots and comics and Australia has the best music, I'm totally a convert over here. I was very much a'squee. Thank you kindly.

Wow, the Elektra movie looks completely different from Daredevil. And I liked DD, but that's a good thing. I'm completely mesmerized by Read more... )

Yay, you got it. And Puss came quite willingly from the skill tester, too - pretty much jumped into the claw himself - so I new I could find a good home for him.

I can't wait for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! It's a Roald Dahl book - it's supposed to be creepy, and I'm loving the fact that these guys might have understood that. *bounces*

Veronica Mars is on the list of those shows that I'd like to see but already have too much to download as it is. I saw her on Letterman last week and was instantly smitten - so bouncy and adorable and very Chloe.

Ooh, I love those scans. The Jon/Lex scene in particular. omgheisisocute! And actually a lot like I picture Conner in "The Space Between". The current Conner in my head is more angsty like you said, but this definitely inspires me for the *other* story I should work on in December. Heh.

You have stuff like *that* in your skill testers? Huh. Cool.

I'm guessing we'll see some controversy concerning the new vision as we get close to the release date, though. Don't people freak out when what they perceive as a childrens story "goes dark"? They weren't too accepting of the Peter Pan that stayed true to the book, either, and that book is *not* gentle, you know? Then again, since it's Johnny Depp...nobody thinks he can do any wrong. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it too. I love the old one, so I want this one to be completely different!

There are several different kinds of skill tester fillers - the usual stuffed toys, the chocolate ones, and some with more junk-type stuff. Puss came from the latter - we've also got a collection of whoopee cushions (one is put away should MR ever decide to visit again) and Groucho Marx glasses from that thing. Hee!

Oh yeah, they sure do. I can remember some parents freaking out about Roald Dahl when I was a kid, and some of my friends weren't allowed to read his books. I can't recall them ever wanting to ban Peter Pan, though, which is odd now that I've paid attention to *that* story. And Marilyn Manson was up for Johnny's role for a while. I think he would've been great, but maybe they chose Johnny because he's less controversial for the time being.
