24, fillion pie, april 5

+ Regarding the season slump for 24. So, at the beginning of this season, 24 was my fun, treadmill show. Probably the only show I would actually call "escapist" for me. No more than 3 or 4 episodes into the season, suddenly it bored me so much I stopped watching it almost unconsciously. I pretty much haven't even thought about it since early Feb. ( Read more... )

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who feels that way about 24. I watched the first 4 or 5 eps, and haven't watched since... though I've been recording them out of habit. Is it even worth watching the rest of the season? Gah.

Umm... and Nathan Fillion pie might be my very favorite kind.

Yeah, and you know, I've been watching 24 since the very beginning. There were no characters left that I was attached to besides Jack. When I heard Audrey was returning I briefly considered tuning in for that, but...I didn't. A show like 24 pretty much wholly relies on the rolling effect of its storyline, and this season--to use a silly metaphor--I kinda felt like they were asking me to get out and help push. Guess I wasn't that committed.

Mm, Fillion pie keeps you full all day. Ahem.

Mm... Fillion pie.

Uh, what? Okay, Homer Simpson moment over. I started watching 24 during the fourth season, and watched the fifth as well, and caught season 1 on dvd. I tried watching season 2 on dvd, but I found it hard going.... not as hard, though, as watching this season. The storylines are ridiculous, and the ineptness of CTU just gets tiresome after a while.

Bleah. I guess I should give in and erase them all, since I don't think I'll ever watch 'em.

Fillion needs to be on a new show. One that's on ANY OTHER NETWORK THAN FOX.

So, do you think they'll release the 6 eps of Drive that were filmed on DVD? (makes hopeful face)

WORD! Evil FOX.

I think they just might release a DVD set. Pretty much everything ends up coming out on DVD these days, even all the canceled half-season shows. Which is something to be grateful for, I guess. I sure wouldn't hold out hope for them to finish airing the filmed eps on TV.

Nathan is so wonderful! Thanks for posting that link. My favorite part:

"He’s really a big dork,” she laughed on the set, "but he looks like Harrison Ford or something. He was perfect for the role.”

Thanks for the music!

That comparison to Harrison Ford makes me think about when fandom was blazing with hope that the Indiana Jones franchise would be rebooted with a new actor, and talk about how perfect Nathan Fillion would be for the part.I would LOVE to see him headline a franchise. I'm not the biggest fan of Indiana Jones, but something like that--a blend of action of humor--could be awesome with him.
